Jesse Johnson is the 194th Death Row Exoneree


After 25 years of wrongful imprisonment, 23 of which were spent on Oregon's death row, Jesse Johnson was exonerated on September 5th making him the 194th person to be exonerated after a wrongful capital conviction. We at Witness to Innocence wish Mr. Johnson all the joy of the freedom that is finally his. Mr. Johnson said after his release, “I’m happy and excited and ready for the next phase now. Been a lot of years for something I didn’t do.”
